The Managing Director of Thomas & Co is Tony Thomas - Tony is a marine insurance, shipping and transport law specialist. Up until April 2008 he had been practicing for renowned International Law Firm Clyde & Co for over 35 years and was a Partner there for over 28 years. Before leaving Clyde & Co Tony was recognised in both Chambers Directory and The Legal 500 as a leading Practitioner in both shipping & transport law.
After many years of successful practice, Tony decided to start his own Marine and Legal Consultancy Business. Thomas & Co have offices in Surrey, England and Napier, New Zealand. The aim was to offer a personal, reasonably priced service high on expertise, low on overheads and flexible enough to meet the business needs of his clients.

Thomas & Co is a business which can handle the vast majority of work handled by a law firm and /or recovery agents achieving a seamless and efficient service for the clients’ benefit. In particular they can pursue recoveries, instruct and cooperate with foreign lawyers, handle arbitrations and advise on all disputes involving English law and practice.
Thomas & Co was formed in early 2009 and currently represents Clients in 16 countries around the world.
