The Managing Director of Thomas & Co is Tony Thomas - Tony is a marine insurance, shipping and transport law specialist. Up until April 2008 he had been practicing for renowned International Law Firm Clyde & Co for over 35 years and was a Partner there for over 28 years. Before leaving Clyde & Co Tony was recognised in both Chambers Directory and The Legal 500 as a leading Practitioner in both shipping & transport law.

After many years of successful practice, Tony decided to start his own Marine and Legal Consultancy Business. Thomas & Co have offices in Surrey, England and Napier, New Zealand. The aim was to offer a personal, reasonably priced service high on expertise, low on overheads and flexible enough to meet the business needs of his clients.

Thomas & Co is a Consultancy Business which can handle the vast majority of work handled by a law firm. In particular they can pursue recoveries, instruct and cooperate with foreign lawyers, handle arbitrations and advise on all disputes involving English law and practice.

Thomas & Co was formed in early 2009 and currently represents Clients in 16 countries around the world.
